The Unassembled Migratory Top Cover is designed to be used with 10 frame equipment and can either fit on a medium or deep hive body. It is recommended that this cover is put together using staples or nails and wood glue and painted with an exterior water-based paint. The Valley Hive recommends the migratory cover to the telescoping cover for hives being kept in Southern California due to the mild winters and warm summers. For those living in colder/wetter climates, the telescoping top cover with an inner cover may be preferable.
