​​BEE REFUND AND RETURN POLICY

Please read carefully as our policy has been updated.  

Bees are for pick up only. We do not ship bees. We hope that you understand, bees are live animals and are provided “as is” without any warranties. We cannot issue refunds once the bees have left our property.  In the rare event, you find your queen bee is dead upon opening your package of bees or you suspect there is a problem with your nuc of bees, please contact The Valley Hive immediately so we can help you.  Please check your order before you submit payment as orders are subject to a $10 change fee after payment has been processed.

REFUND POLICY BEFORE APRIL 1ST

Orders for packages and nucs may be canceled and refunded with a $50 restocking/cancelation fee until March 31, 2024.

​​There will be no refund if you need to cancel your order starting April 1, 2024, your payment will be forfeited.  If bees are not picked up on the scheduled pickup day, your funds will be forfeited. 

BEE PICK UP​​

We do our best to keep customers updated as to the arrival of bees at our Chatsworth location. However, typically we do not know the exact arrival date until a few weeks beforehand. 

Over the past several years, packages of bees have been picked up on a Wednesday between 10am and 1pm.  Nucs have been picked on Thursday and Friday evening between 8pm and 9pm.  We hope to do a similar schedule in April 2024.  

Bees must be removed from their packages and installed into a hive within a few days of arriving in Chatsworth. Do not order a package unless you have the flexibility to pick up your bees within the time constraints set forth by The Valley Hive. Bees cannot be held after the pick-up date. All unclaimed packages will be installed into hives.

It is imperative that you provide accurate contact information so that we can communicate with you regarding your order. As soon as an arrival date is known, we will send out an email with important pick-up details. Make sure to respond, so that we know you have received the information. Every attempt will be made to contact you about the bees; however, it is incumbent upon you to pick up the bees at the appointed time stated by The Valley Hive.

Bees are live animals and cannot be guaranteed. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
