How to Split a Beehive (two part class)

- Participants must:
- Have maintained at least one hive for a minimum of one year
- Possess a working knowledge of beekeeping equipment and terminology
- Understand basic honeybee biology
- Bee suit or jacket with veil
- Beekeeping gloves

- Why and when to split a hive
- Signs your hive is ready to split
- Best time of year to perform a split
- Different methods of splitting a hive
- Practical, in-hive splitting techniques
This is a two-session class, and attendance at both sessions is required.
