TO ORDER, CHOOSE PICK UP AT THE VALLEY HIVE AT CHECK OUT!
The Beekeeping Experience is offered on Sunday at 9am and lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
Ever wondered what life is like inside a bustling beehive? Here is your chance to see firsthand how bees work together inside of a colony to produce honey and so much more. “Busy as a bee” will take on new meaning as you watch these industrious little creatures buzz around from one place to another communicating with their sisters in the most fascinating way. That’s right, inside the hive, all the worker bees are girls. The boys have one important job which cannot be overlooked. But we’ll tell you all about that when we see you. During your visit, as you take turns holding frames full of bees, you may be lucky enough to spot the queen bee laying eggs into tiny honeycomb shaped wax cells. In a given day, she can lay more than 2,000 eggs! As you will see, there is a lot of work to be done inside the hive. However, you’ll leave the work to us and the bees when you visit the hive, put on a bee suit and follow us into the bee yard to experience the magic of the bees and this ancient craft.
